Sponsor Pop-up Skatepark

Pop-up Skatepark is a free after-school program for Ramona teens and families, but we have expenses.  It costs between $6,000 and $10,000 per 10-week session for payroll, equipment maintenance, insurance, and team expenses. The more money we raise, the more teens we we hire to give them job experience and opportunity, and the more kids can participate in the competitions, and the better the equipment we can offer them, and the more “Careers in Action Sports” programs and field trips we can provide. None of our board of directors is compensated and all monies raised for the program go back into the program and to the kids.

We understand how important it is to keep children and teens active and engaged in healthy group settings with like minded individuals. We know how few opportunities teens have for after-school recreation or work in Ramona. We are here to try and fill gaping hole in our community’s parks and recreation programs, while we also advocate for a skatepark and more parks and recreation opportunities for teens at the community and county level.

We value participation over profit. We don’t charge fees to kids or families. This is why we are a 501c3 non-profit charity. The program is sustained by donations from people like you and small grants from local foundations and County grants, when available.

If you can sponsor a kid or teen, click here to make a tax-deductible donation of any amount to help cover program costs for families in need. You can donate one time or sign up for a small monthly sustaining donation. Businesses can display a banner during pop-up hours at our location for $500 or more donation.

If you are able, please consider these ways you can support this program:
